OfficeTrack
Privacy Policy
What the app stores on your phone
The information you enter:
- work-location records (office, work from home, leave, holiday, half day, other)
- check-in and check-out times, notes and office locations
- planned days, holidays and your recurring weekly plan
- your office target and office policy rules, working days, leave allowance or leave types, and work hours
- app settings, such as reminders and appearance
It's kept in the app's private storage on your device. Only OfficeTrack can read it. Cabin Room Studio can't see it, and it isn't sent anywhere by the app.
Advertising (free version)
The free version shows ads through the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process:
- Device identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID
- Approximate location derived from your IP address
- Ad interactions, such as which ads were shown or tapped
- Diagnostic information about ad performance and crashes
Google uses this data under its own privacy policy. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
None of your attendance data is shared with Google or any advertiser.
Personalised ads
The app doesn't show a consent form of its own. Where the law allows, Google may use your advertising ID to personalise ads. Where privacy law requires consent for that, such as in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google limits the ads it shows to non-personalised or limited ads, or may show none.
Your controls
- On your phone: reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on your phone. With the advertising ID deleted, ads can't be personalised using it.
- With Google: manage ad personalisation for your Google account at My Ad Center.
Pro. Buying Pro turns ads off. The app then stops loading ads.
Purchases
Pro is sold as a one-time purchase or as a 3-month or yearly subscription, all processed by Google Play. We never see your payment details. The app only asks Google Play whether Pro is owned or a subscription is active on your Google account, and stores that answer on your phone, so a reinstall or a new phone gets Pro back. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in Google Play. See the Google Play Terms of Service.
Ratings prompt
After you've used the app for a while, it may ask Google Play to show its in-app review prompt once. Ratings and reviews are handled by Google Play.
Notifications
Reminders, recaps and check-out nudges are scheduled on your phone by Android. No data leaves your phone to make them work.
Backups and exports
- Android backup. If Android's backup is turned on for your phone, Android may store an encrypted copy of the app's data in your own Google account, as it does for other apps. You can turn this off in your phone's backup settings.
- Your own backups and exports. Backup files, CSV and PDF reports and calendar files are created only when you choose. They're saved on your phone in Downloads/OfficeTrack (on Android 8–9, in the app's own Documents folder), and shared only with apps you pick. Settings → Exported files lists them so you can open, share, rename or delete them.
Deleting your data
- In the app: Settings → Delete all data erases every record, plan and setting on your phone.
- Uninstalling also removes everything the app stored, except copies you exported or that are in your Android backup.
- Advertising data held by Google is managed through your Google and device ad settings (see above).
Children
OfficeTrack is a work tool for adults and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
